In short: Did the Half this year and enjoyed it very much !!!
In full: Did the Half this year and enjoyed it very much , After last years full marathon I decided to tackle the Half Marathon distance as I was not fit enough for the full distance. And as I had not got under 2 hours for this distance this year I really pushed myself knowing that the course is not too demanding and was rewarded with a time of 1.59.45 !! ,This is a great course wether you do the 10k ,Half or full Marathon and I would recommend doing the longest running Marathon in Scotland , Great finish at the cathedral , Great Medal and great welcoming hospitality at the Start and end of the event !!!!

In short: My local marathon, so perhaps I'm a little biased!
In full: This is a lovely part of the world for people to experience, a mix of town, seafront, woodland rural roads. The water stations were exceptional this year - very good, and the marshalls were as always very encouraging. A lovely finish with the cathedral as a backdrop, really attractive t-shirts with the cathedral on them and the medals for each of the three races were different which was great. Fab pre-race scoffs too!

In short: A lovely half marathon in a lovely part of the world
In full: Fantastic race. Organisation was faultless, weather was a bit too sunny but can hardly blame them for that.
Water stations plentiful and well manned, exemplary marshalling. Nice t-shirt and especially welcome was the tea and sandwiches at the end!
This course is not flat, there are plenty of gentle uphills to keep it interesting. The mix of seaside, fishing village, forest and countryside makes for an constantly changing background and the finish beside the cathedral is lovely.
Got a PB so a little biased but I'd definitely recommend it ... and I'll be back next year!

In short: Very well organised and friendly.
In full: Small race but very slick. Well marashalled and more water stations than you though possible in race of this size. Well worth the journey.
