In short: Very well organised, good country scenery and some hills that provide a respectable challenge.
In full: If I was training for FLM then I would certainly do this run again. I was a bit nervous about it being described as 'undulating' but the hills were not steep enough that you needed to walk them. It was well marshalled and they were very friendly. Only real complaint being about the runners who littered the countryside with their empty gel packs.

In short: Great 20 miler!!
In full: My only complaint would be that I arrived early as usual(8am) to get a parking spot at the school only to be told by a marshall that it was full and I was directed to a distant Industrial Estate on the edge of village. When I came down to race(09.45am) there spaces at the school and the marshalls were happily parking people there!!!! Surely the people who bother to get there early should have the best spaces. Still a great race though!!

In short: Not as bad as I was expecting!
In full: The hills were nowhere near as extreme as some races I've done recently. The last mile was a bit frustrating, never knowing when the finish was close. Friendly marshalls, timely water stations and enthusiastic supporters on some parts of the course. If I do FLM again next year, I'll include this race in my prep again. Well done Bedford Harriers!

In short: Great organisation, scenic but challenging course.
In full: This was a very well-marshalled race - both in terms of numbers and encouragement. The course was excellent - scenic and undulating enough to work the legs and lungs. Great idea to finish with the last 400m on grass. A very good final race before the FLM.

Constructive criticisms - possibly some energy drinks at one of the stops later in the race (12 or 15 miles) and something more substantial than water for the finish - be it even a banana - especially as what makes the atmosphere is cheering in your fellow runners. Having to go back to the Sports Hall to locate something with carb / protein was not ideal.

Overall, a very good race.
