In short: It put Glastonbury to shame in the mud stakes. Fantastic fun!
In full: Despite the apocalyptic conditions this was one of the most enoyable races I've done. It would have been easy to have cancelled the entire event so huge credit to the organisers for managing to stage a race at all, and especially to the marshalls for braving the deluge to cheer everyone on. The atmosphere at the start - and afterwards in the hall - was fantastic. I'll be back in 2009!

In short: Fantastic, as ever from this series
In full: Brilliant organisation, friendly marshalls, good food afterwards, amazing course - tough but rewarding and scenic. The whole series has been a credit to the organisers and I'm just posting my entry for next year! A great introduction to trail running and so welcoming to all, fast and slow alike. Thank you.

In short: Great finish to an excellent series - and a pretty good race in its own right!
In full: Little to add to comments on previous events in this Series - superbly organised, something for everybody and the whole thing set up to make you want to come back. Thanks again to Graham, Claire and all the team.

In short: My first trail race, and loved it, hope to do all four next year pending work commitments etc, very well done to the organisers.
In full: A steep pull up part Low Water, but as I enjoy hills that wasnt a problem (still hurt though!) but might be worth mentioning in pre-race info for first-timers. Also would be useful for the different events for participants to have race numbers in different colours (i.e. black for trail race, red for challenge, green for nordic etc... ) - would make it easier for spectators.

In short: Excellent course and a fine first attempt
In full: Could only be improved with more water and less queuing at registration. Otherwise a great day, beats a road race. The legs recovered from the hills after a day or two!

In short: Well worth the effort!
In full: First time ever running a trail and now am a converted road runner. Enjoyed the challenge of scampering over rocks, near cliffs, scattered slate, bogs, stiles, and avoiding colliding with ramblers. The scenery was unimaginable and worth every sore muscle. Well organized and looking foward to April.
