In short: Very Good enjoyable race in pleasent scenery
In full: Not much to say really as it was a weel organised event.
Only comments (but minor) are:
Drinks station could have been at the car park rather than at 10K (the organiser said it was at 9.2K)
Carpark signs to coniston hall could have been better, I saw many a car doing u turns as they missed the little turn off after coming off the main road.

In short: Brilliant fun
In full: The only real minor point were the queue on the rocky thin sections. Didn't spoil this brilliant event, though. Much easier than Hawkshead. I'll be back next year.

In short: Think the description lied a little!
In full: Organisers notes says "The course passes through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District, on good, fast runnable trails" and the pictures on their website suggest moderate hills with the old man of Coniston as the backdrop - at no point does it suggest the course is up one side of the old man, along the front then back down the otherside.

There were some tricky bits which were not easy to run and in some places dangerous with idiots trying to push past rather than waiting their turn sensibly.

A good challenge tho, should be better described to new people - the course photos dont show the extent of the climbs. If i'd been better prepared I'd have enjoyed it more.

In short: Loved it! Many thanks to Graham & Claire and all involved.
In full: Love the whole concept of this. As a slow runner, I did the challenge and so was able to finish with lots of others around [unlike Derwentwater where I did the Race & finished at the back ....]. I even stopped to look at the views by the watefall. Definitely thinking of doing all four next year.

In short: Also my first trail race, and a great introduction. More demanding than I'd anticipated, but a great sense of achievement. Will be back next year, perhaps for the whole series.

In short: Roll on next year, I cant wait
In full: Great event & great series.

Top notch organisation, brilliant settings, stunning scenery. Cant give it enough praise. Well recommended if you like your running hilly & tough and if you dont enter the Challenge or the Nordic Walk. Something for everyone.

In short: Again, again!
In full: Being a first timer had little idea what to expect, hard going up the steep rocky bits but thoroughly enjoyed finding my feet down the other side. I registered 9.26 miles, must have taken the corners a bit wide! Just wish I could have looked at scenery a bit more than my feet. Can't wait for next one.
