In short: Great location, really well organised, nice meet and greet at the gate, distance was 13.11 according to my garmin so great.
In full: Great atmosphere, marshalls provided excellent support all around the course as did the local villages. Drinks stations were well positioned with a particularly good one close to the end. 9am start was definitely an advantage. Goody bags were good with brilliant medals and t-shirts. Overall an excellent race with a great charity and one I would recommend for next year.

In short: A fast route, with fantastic scenary, great for PBs and for first time racers.
In full: As the 80min pacer I was hoping to pull more of you lovely runners through the line in some quick times, sadly all but one dropped off leaving me very lonely at the front :(..
I thought the route was well measured and reasonably flat which could easily post some fantastic PBs in the future! The event was very well organised for the first time with good directions, times, drink stations bla bla bla.. And it’s nice to see some good quality trophies and medals.

I really look forward to next year, and I hope to see more of you all shooting past me for some super fast times. If im not pacing I will without doubt be racing this beauty!

Well done to Cambridge & Coleridge on 1st place for the teams.

Follow me on twitter @kye84 for info on future races and to read general rubbish about my training.

See ya on the start line…:)

In short: Lovely route...with a couple of cheeky hills thrown in too!
In full: Really enjoyed this, the route was lovely, the folks helping out at the drinks stations/direction points were way too happy ha ha. Cheering locals was a lovely touch too! The Army lads were extremely polite and helpful. Cheers

In short: A real gem of a race!
In full: Pretty much everything you could want from a half-marathon...lovely scenic route through small villages which were dotted with locals happy to cheer/clap us on despite the drizzle.
9 am start was wise-indeed, could easily have been a normal June day which would have meant 20 degrees by 12. As it was, the weather was cool with light rain, i.e. perfect distance running conditions...
A very friendly group of runners, all happy to chat throughout the event, maybe not the last 1/2 mile!
A reasonably flat route with only a couple of inclines (nothing for someone from the Chilterns) meant that PBs were definitely available although it did seem a little long to me; GPS read 13.27 miles...
All-in-all a fabulous event, hope to be back next year perhaps with a bigger field although hopefully not too big. Congratulations to the event organisers, great job guys!!

In short: Really liked the 9am start ... why can't more races follow the example!!
In full: Only entered on the final days before cut off but good communication from organisers. Well signposted with lots of parking. Good route through the army base and quiet country roads. Last 3.5 miles downhill to the finish so made for a good run-in.

Really appreciated the 9am start. Was back home in Peterborough by midday - a nice change from 11am starts and the race seeming to take over the whole day. Perhaps a lesson for other events

Would recommend to others looking for a friendly half

In short: A real gem.
In full: This race for me had everything..... apart from enough toilets! (for which the organisers couldn't appologise enough). It was easy to find, plenty of parking, chip timing, interesting running around the perimiter of the army base, seeing the rifle ranges etc, then into lovely country side and pretty villages, plenty of support from marshalls and local people. A great race. Well done!

In short: Great run would recommend to any age, nice scenery and lovely villages, great pub the Crown in Liddlington where supporters congregated, and had a nice Sunday lunch after the race, many thanks to Chris for recomending the pub and organising the race.

In short: great, flat and friendly race
In full: This was a great half. There was a bit of an issue at the start with so few toilets but other than that all very well organised. It was a miserable day but the marshalls were very supportive on the well marked course, with plenty of water stations. Pre-race info was great and there was a really good atmosphere - special thanks to Lucy who helped me break the 2 hour mark on my debut half marathon! Will definitely be back next year.
