In short: Thank you so much to the nice man who helped me up when I fell over!
In full: Third running of this for me. Have improved every year despite the hills so persevere those of you who don't like them. I'm no runner but I got my PB on this course this year despite taking a tumble running down one of the hills.

Thank you so much to the nice man in red who helped me up!

In short: Good, hilly and friendly
In full: Nice Atmosphere, good turnout and fun to take part in. Some hills - but a good challenge! The football club finish was a nice touch and a good warm up for the Madjeski finish at Reading! :-)Do need to sort out the water station and KM markers however!

In short: Badly organised start, finish and water stops
In full: The start was very clogged, not wide enough to get out of the crowd. The markers were for 37 and 45 minutes and everyone else lumped at the back. The water stop was terrible, one person slowly pouring water. And the finish was on GRAVEL! Terrible. Plus it was impossible to get out since everyone was fed back through a space wide enough only for single file while a whole sports field stood empty and unused on the other side of the finishing tunnel. I would suggest that next time they finish on the grass and let us walk off on the gravel with loads of space.

In short: A good race, shame about the finish on gravel and the organisation of the finish.

In short: Nice to finish on a down slope
In full: I really enjoyed this race with lots of ups and downs with good support from the people of Winchester. Contrary to other views I liked the finish with lots of people cheering which spurred me on to run the fastest 200 metres for a long long time out of pride to prevent being overtaken in the dash for the line! Lovely day and will be back next year

In short: Did someone mention hills?
In full: Knew there were a few hills in the area but sadly this race crams them all in! Felt as though we went up more than we came down too... a toughie that would have been great race if for a few minor imrovements:
-Drinks station with drinks available not DIY serve it up mid race!
- Finish on a very stoney gravel area a bit harsh on the ankles
- Somewhere to leave the basic kit - if we had known there were lockers available at the sports centre we'd have used them!

In short: Great event, looking forward to next year's one.
In full: First time at the Winchester 10K and I enjoyed it very much. The course route was great and the atmosphere was very friendly. Very nice medal received at the end also.
