In short: Excellent event and challenging course
In full: This was the third time that I had entered and surprisingly I got myself a Half-Marathon PB. Probably due to the fact that I knew what was coming with the hills and made up some time on the flat and downhill sections. It was enjoyable to participate in a low key race (371 Runners) compared to the usual mass participation events.

In short: My first half marathon and longest run ever. Great fun. Ached in new places because of the hills but loved the downhill stretches. I'm definitely hooked and looking for my next event.

In short: A great run, with some tough hills, espescially the first one! Everyone very friendly and well organised
In full: A run that cuts through National Trust land for most of 13 miles. A number of hills but some nice down hill sections to enjoy as well.

In short: Was a challenging course, but managed to break my pb by 10 minutes, so pleased with that. Hills were very challenging. Well organised event with a good atmosphere.

In short: Tough hills for beginners but with nice downhills on the other side - beautiful route and to my amazement achieved a good time.

In short: Too hilly (steep ups and downs) for really quick times but well run, well supported and scenic.

In short: Small friendly race. Nice countryside. Some challenging hills. Long flat parts and downhills too.
In full: The proximity of the club house to the start/finish is a good thing. Somewhere warm to dwell intil the start. Hot food and drink is served.

Efficient start and well marshalled all the way round. Traffic still on the roads and you know how motorists can be sometimes. You can never quite relax!

Challenging course. Some hills, lots of flatter places in which to stride out a bit, notably the finish - downhill.

Back to the lovely warm club house for coffee and toast served by friendly folk. Clearly took pride in the event making it a pleasure to participate in.

Good medal - I do love a medal.

In short: who decided to put that long hill climb in the middle of the course?
In full: fast in parts but two grinding climbs in the first half and two shorter ones near the end made the last half a tough cookie for me.
