In short: Tough run, but one you must do again. In full: Wow I like hilly runs but this was a tough nut. It felt like 5 miles non-stop uphill and a 1 mile charge downhill to the finish. Friendly and well organised it is a race I will definitely do again. Thank you Meltham AC. Date of review: February 2, 2011

In short: very hilly but the scenery makes it worth the sore legs In full: thought the end was in sight at the bottom of the last hill sprinted down then realised there was another killer hill enjoyed it and happy with my time Date of review: February 1, 2011

In short: Tough but very rewarding. In full: Big thanks to the friendly marshalls who did a great job especially with some impatient locals whom I felt thought we should be running through "their" village. Date of review: January 31, 2011

In short: Lucky to have this on my doorstep. In full: As races go this was very pleasant indeed, A great turnout for a rural event (record numbers) and good marshalling organisation all the way round. Also gained a Carlos Tevez style illuminous snood, which shows thought considering standard fare is usually a fruit of the loom t-shirt. Genuinely made up with my time for a hills event those who moan about hills should stay in the cities and have enjoy crap scenery instead. So greatful the start line was 400 yrds from home and will be making this an annual event. Well done Meltham AC. Date of review: January 30, 2011

In short: There can`t be many tougher?! In full: I knew it was hilly, I like hills, I`m good on hills and it still surprised me!
Great race base although the tea ladies were cake gestapo. Easy to register and park plus stuff to do for little uns. Nice memento from a good value race.
They said it was easier this year which is misleading, surely? Great fun though and don`t ever think the hills have finished! Date of review: January 30, 2011

In short: What goes up...... (comes down.......eventually!) In full: Well worth getting out of bed early on a chilling January morning. The first 4.5 miles are generally all uphill. But you're not going to get anything else round these parts. Eventually, there's a good downhill stretch just before the last killer couple of hundred yards (uphill - again!)
A nicely organised race; nothing flash or fancy, but it works fine. And top marks for not charging extra for on-the-day entry. Good facilities at race HQ, and well marshalled road junctions.
It's a challenging route - but if it was easy, where would the fun in that be? The scenery is gorgeous; if you can manage to take it all in. I swear I saw my heart, still beating, breaking outta my body, and flying away..... Date of review: January 30, 2011

In short: Not for the faint heart, queasy stomach or wobbly legs! In full: I love this run! Third year of dragging myself up and down the hills and it's worth it. Nothing like the smell of horse manure to get you going! Date of review: January 30, 2011
