In short: Muddy and fun
In full: This was my first endurance race of the year after missing the first Kamikaze. I did it with 10 friends and it was awesome! The first two 2 miles of hills was torture and followed by the obstacles it just became way too much fun.

It was shame it was over so quickly. Plenty of stories and aches to make the day memorable!

In short: Very hard, but enjoyable
In full: To make a weekend of the race Votwo allow people to camp at the site of their adventure runs the night before. There was a good turnout for the camping this year, probably because of the weather. The marshalls and organisers are all around in the evening too so it's a good friendly pre-raceday atmosphere swapping stories of other events and tip giving from the folks who'd run last year.

I found the race itself extremely hard but good fun. Most of the challenge in the run is the terrain with steep climbs and steep descents. The bog was worse than I remember it from last year coming up to the top of the leg in places. The addition of more obstacles on the finish straight prevented as much delay as there had been at the final wall last year and I think they made a good decision not to grease it as that would just have been too hard. Anyway in summary a challenging, fun and well organised event.

In short: Great atmoshere
In full: Great course in amazing scenery. Really friendly atmosphere. I enjoy the natural obstacles but feel that a lot of these events are trying to outdo each other with the artificial obstacles, which are totally unnecessary. Other grouses: Too expensive, I would expect a technical T shirt in the goody bag at these sort of prices, other cheaper events manage it. Also what about prizes for the Over 50s and 60s? Despite all this I will certainly do it again!

In short: Great camping, great run, great fun - don't wait..just do it!!
In full: Well organised, camped overnight with beautiful sunset, lovely evening meal, good facilities, bar and friendly camp fire atmosphere. Run course is excellent, hilly, boggy and so much fun for all those taking part - and great obstacles for all spectators to watch at finish. I recommend taking the family, camping overnight as you won't be disappointed. Where else do you start a race by shouting Banzai and end it covered in mud climbing a wall...brings out the child in you?!!

In short: A definate must do race- loved it!
In full: I have done a number of adventure/ obstacle races- this one definately tops them all!
Loads and loads of fun! Challenging, some hills involved. Varied, and enjoyable course. Loved the obstacles, water and mud. Very well laid out.
Slippery mat down the hill- emense fun- even tho I managed to slice my butt open on a rock!
Loved the wall challenge to finish the race at the end.
Organisation superb. Nice goody bag, and medal at the end.
Thanks race organisers, and team.

In short: Exhausting, but definitely fun!
In full: It may only have been 8-9 miles, but this had me asking if I'd really run a marathon just three weeks ago!
Helped by the torrential rain we've had for the last two weeks, this course was full of mud, water, hills and more mud, water and hills! I'm aching in places I didn't know I could ache, but it was worth it - even if the mud does have it's own unique perfume!

In short: Amazing.....
In full: I am no stranger to adventure races but this had to be one of the toughest ive ever done ! the recent weather made it one tough course and doing two laps certainly tests your stamina. Very well organised and a great atmosphere, the last wall is a killer but the oohh and arrghh i had from the crowd when i twice failed and slid back down made me even more determined to do it and on the third attempt i made it.
i am covered in cuts and bruises but loved it and will be back again next year.
