In short: Great except for heat In full: Excellent race for local runners. My third 10k aiming for a sub 50min which was going fine for 1st 7k then hit a wall due to the extreme heat. Finished just over target time. Will be back! Date of review: May 22, 2008

In short: Great race for first time 10K-ers. Excellent value. In full: This was my first 10K race, despite regularly running the distance in training. Going into the race I was hoping for a 55min time, but the heat was incredible so I settled on aiming for sub 1 hour - which I managed by 20 secomds! The atmosphere was great and the value for money was suberb: medal, t-shirt, fruit and water presented by a Mayor in full robes who looked hotter than some of the runners! Would definately do this again. Date of review: May 14, 2008

In short: Friendly and well-organised but hot-hot-hot! In full: Nice little club run with a good atmosphere and gently rolling course. Good support and marshalling with plenty of water which was lucky considering that is was 26 degrees and full sun. Date of review: May 12, 2008

In short: Friendly, flat lat two-lap course, in blistering heat In full: First time run of my local event and very rewarding.
The blistering heat and the 10.30am start made for a slower than hoped-for time, and some red shoulders!
A couple of the straights seem to go on and no, but the flat course and much-need water stop made for a nice urban and country run!
Excellent crowd support at the finish, and brilliant value with both a medal and a t-shirt. I'll definitely be back next year! Date of review: May 11, 2008
