In short: Wonderfully varied course and views - fantastic
In full: How varied a course you rotate round the isle looking at Weymouth, English channel, Portland bill, Chesil beach, passing from town, to dune, to estate, to seaview, running up, sweeping down, undulating and then UP plus UUUPPP - the front group made it feel a real race. Great organisation, fantastic quality towel as a momento, 6 water and sponge stops in 10 miles (thankfully considering the heat), loads of prize categories and a PB, I loved it all. Thanks

In short: Hard work but amazing scenery
In full: Travelled from Basingstoke to do this run as i had great memories of Portland Bill. As i remembered, it was very hilly especially miles 7 - 10. It was very hot this year and it seemed there was only a breeze on the downhill part so running to and from the light house was particularly difficult for me, the sea views and Portland Bill made up for that however. Amazing view of Chesil beach at the top too. Plenty of stewards and water/sponge stations, very well organised. Embroidered towel was a nice change from a medal. Will definately do it again.

In short: The last 3 miles are all uphill!
In full: A lovely, friendly race with great views and some challenging long hills. Missed the jelly babies by the lighthouse this year but enjoyed the sunshine and all the local support. I'll be back next year.

In short: Great fun 10 miler, friendly and good value
In full: A regular local training route for me but my first time in this event. Very well organised, loads of water and sponge stations more than welcome in the heat. The last two miles are tough, but you do get to run downhill for 3 miles before, it's a good challenging circuit that's well supported.

In short: The scenery views are just rewards for the uphill efforts
In full: Really enjoyed the run this year. Hot but nice cooling breeze on the way down to the Bill, albeit you had to work a bit harder on the downhills than expected as it was slap bang in your face. Excellent water and sponge stations but missed the jelly-babies that were normally at the Bill !! That last mile doesn't get any easier.... Great organisation and quality award at the end - well done RMP

In short: Hot & hilly but very well organised and well worth running.
In full: Probably too undulating for a PB but this shouldn't put anyone off running this one. Great views and a good atmosphere. Organisation was excellent with plenty of marshalls & drink stations. Embroidered towel makes a nice change from a t-shirt.

In short: Tough and hilly, but scenic and well-organised from the Bill
In full: It is hilly, and not really a PB course at all, but you get great views instead. Great views of Chesil Beach, and the run down to the Portland Bill lighthouse gives you views of the sea and lighthouses, Running back up from the bill has views of the Dorset Jurrasic coast.

One of the best, well organised races around. July can of course be hot, but I think I counted about 8 water stations and 3 sponge stations.

Plenty of friendly and enthusiastic marshalls, and very welcoming and supportive residents of Portland.

Very useful quality embroidered towel as the race souvenir.

Congrats and thanks to all the organisation team, and people of Portland. In all, a highly recommeded race.

In short: More stunning scenery on a challenging but enjoyable race
In full: A great race, but not so much for beginners. The weather was beautiful, and the breezes were very welcome. If you have any intention of running this race you need to incorporate some hilly runs into your schedule as the last couple of miles are a long drag uphill which caught a few people out. You can't beat looking over the sea and the bill and can be very energising. All in all, hard work, but very rewarding!
