In short: Very friendly and efficient organisers. Urban course in Peter Kay country with enough hills to make it interesting. Generous prizes.

In short: The weather helped make up for some inadequacies.
In full: The squeeze gate after 300 metres was never likely to work and caused problems
I measured the course as 10.3km
The water station was under-manned and the hosepipe was not the way to do it
There were not enough marshalls
The 2km fun run was actually 2.7km and inadequate provision was made for those at the back of the field.
The car parking organisation was poor.

Now I may sound like a misery. I'm not. I'm hoping to point out areas that can be considered for improvement.

In short: My first race, as such a guaranteed PB!
In full: Started with serious misaprehension! Booking via RW brill. Support from 'NICK' fabulous. The gate at the start was a pity and a bit chaotic, my satelite thingy had the markers as quite a bit out, liked the hosepipe arrangement for water!! I Loved this, training is not much fun but if all proper events are at least as much fun as this then I am in for a long running career. Thanks to all.

In short: I enjoyed the race, but I really did not like the start. It might have worked if there hadn't been so many runners.
