In full: This was my first 10K with chip timing. The course was quite twisty and undulating, but only a problem if you flew out too fast early on. I did, and struggled up the second hill in particular around Radcliffe Road.
I don't think the course is that difficult (I live locally), but it does require reasonable judgement of pace so it is a good test for a beginner, but not one to be fearful of. Will definitely be back next year. Date of review: August 13, 2011
In short: Plenty of hills In full: Done this race for last few years, this year there was a new course, although prefer the old course, this one seemed to go round in circles and up various tracks in the park. Not great for the time. Agree with comments about the end of the race, although would not let it put people off as the race has always been well organised in the past. Date of review: April 18, 2011
In short: Nice new course In full: Nice new course but as I ran around with the wife as support and finished near the end of the field I was annoyed there was no water left at the finish Date of review: April 18, 2011
In short: Good run, nice mixture of on road and off road running, a bit quiet, all was going great until the finish line and a bit of a free for all for the goodies, would of been better if you recieved a bag rather than rumaging through cardboard boxes Date of review: April 17, 2011
In short: Great day, Great race. In full: The original course sneaked a nice long hill about the halfway mark. The new course has a few lung burners, but I suppose its not worth doing if its easy. See you next year. Date of review: April 17, 2011
