In short: Lots of tight turns in the first few k's
In full: Often described as a hilly race I was expecting a much steeper course, thankfully the hills were long and gradual rather than short and steep.

The first 2-3 km and the last km round the city centre had lots of fairly tight corners which made the congestion feel worse. But did give spectators plenty of space to watch which was nice.

Enjoyed the race if a little busy.

In short: Better splits between those running, jogging and walking needed
In full: As a whole, for a city centre race, this was well organised. But as a 45 minute runner, I was put with the slow runners?! For a fun run, I would say i'm on the quicker side (for once)! I lost 10 minutes overall as they told us not to go from Milenium Square, but people had, I was then left at the back and god forbid you try and get to the front. I only felt that I got into a sort of stride at the 7k mark, all too late then to pull it back. Then no sprint finish as it was too clogged.
An well organised race, but please do 3 waves next year, my back hurts from my slalom efforts to get through.
Marshalls, were brilliant!

In short: Definitely challenging
In full: Much like the guy above, I felt frustrated by the people who would have to slow to a walk after 1Km after pushing to the front of the starting pen. But I had to keep reminding myself it is a Run For All

Marshals seemed to have a tough time keeping people off the paths, but the route, I thought, for central Leeds was great.

Planning excellent, last push on a hill surprising- probably especially for newbies!

Great goodie bag with leaflets and a nice t-shirt

Would do again :)

In short: More undulating than I expected
In full: I did enjoy this, but as a 51 year old newish runner who hovers arond the 50 minute mark I did get frustrated with those in the runners starting zone who were walking within 1k making the start of the race very slow for all messed up my PB attempt . Bit too much of a fun run I I know I am becoming a running snob!

In short: Great Race. Brilliant atmosphere.
In full: This is a brilliant race for everyone. Great atmosphere. Good organisation. Feel may benefit from streaming by colour according to time runners can complete it in though like they do in Bupa Manchester 10k. Overall Great fun. Good day out!
