In short: Excellent village event, challenging but the great scenery and the atmosphere makes up for it.
In full: Great run, but quite hilly so you are not going to run a personal best. Well organized and you are made to feel welcome by runners and organisers alike.
Not sure about the previous comments regarding time keeping. Everyone I have spoken to has confirmed that their time matched that on the website and my time was accurate.
Run it and enjoy it!

In short: Windy and hilly
In full: Lovely scenery mainly down a country lane from Manuden to Rickling Green. Half of the route is very exposed which made it challenging in the wind. Some tough hills as well (the worst after just 1km!), which doesn't make it the best for a PB. Still, a good fun and challenging race. Great organisation too. Will be back.

In short: The title says it all - funrun
In full: Well organised, cheap out and back run. The absence of any meaningful attempts to produce results (no official timekeepers) voids any claims to calling it a race. No winners' prizes either (not that I'd win any). Good idea to call it a funrun.

In short: Good country run!
In full: Nice scenery. Well organised and friendly! PB potential is not great - too much wind and hills for that ... and I got stuck behind some slow runners who positioned themselves too near the start as the lanes are quite narrow! Otherwise it was a great day! WELL DONE ORGANISERS! I'd definitely do this again and recommend this to others!

In short: Good children's entertainment
In full: A bit windy, but great fun, even had race-time entertainment in the form of a pink clown.

In short: Ouch!
In full: This is not one for those who want to set a PB. Hilly, windy with a lot of pain. Certainly suited to those with the fat reserves for endurance racing! Friendly, good organisation and the man in the pink sausage suit made it worthwhile.

In short: You feel like you've earned your Sunday lunch after doing this one!
In full: Lovely race - friendly & well organised. Challenging hilly out and back course with some very strong winds to contend with. T shirt & medal for finishers & homemade cakes at race HQ. Shorter races (1k & 5k) make it an inclusive event for all. Really good.

In short: A challenging but enjoyable 10k
In full: A well organised but challenging 10k. Full of hills on a nice out and back course. The monsoon of the previous few days made the trail section a bit slippy but only wimps would complain about this. Marshalling was top class and the race was well organised from start to finish. Of particular note was the bloke in the Pink Morphsuit who stood out somewhat (I'm guessing he must have lost a bet to a superior being) I could see that catching on !!
