In short: Most enjoyable suffering
In full: Tough as old boots. First time I've ever had to stop in a race. 6 minutes off my PB, but I loved every minute of it.
People were friendly, scenery was great.
Took the family, had a great day out.
can't wait to do it again.

In short: Lovely day at the zoo ruined with a 10k run!!! Not really wonderful day out for all the family.
In full: It was a wondeful day out. It was hot and sunny but the hills were tough but I don't like hills at the best of times.

Disappointing time but with the ups and downs of the course I obviously need more training!!!

In short: tougher than I thought, but still a great day out
In full: I concur with the others: hills were worse than I thought, and Start was too crowded. But friendly atmosphere, good weather, well-marshalled, welcome drinks, and plenty of good-natured support.

Afterwards, it's a fun day out for the family, although the lemurs were a bit sleepy this time. Previously they have been more lively but mustn't grumble. My son's doing a project on rhinos so good field work for him.

And there's even a free road train to carry tired limbs back to the entrance.

In short: Very friendly race through some nice scenery,
In full: First 10K for some time so happy to plod along towards the back. Slightly congested start meant I started off slow but the undulating first half limited the amount of conversation with follow competitors !!! Definitely do it again next year - knees willing

In short: A pleasant day out in the sun
In full: Childrens fun run was excellent - the goody bags were a bonus but the organisation could have done with being a bit slicker.

As for the 10K...

The start was far too congested and I thought time bands were going to be used - they weren't and the road was too narrow for the numbers. I lost about 30-40 seconds on the first KM.

After that the pack opened up and there were some tough climbs to negotiate but the lanes were pretty.

The marshalls were great and two water stations was an excellent idea, it was hot work.

The last couple of KMs were, thankfully, flat with an evil little uphill to the finish.

All in all a good but challenging race.
