In short: Never again but... again and again
In full: This is the third time I do this race and to be honest every time I say "never those hills again" but in the end I always come back. A must-do at least once for any runner. This year it was very hot and I took it particularly easy, but in the end the FINISH line was the happiest moment of this year!

In short: Good Fun to Run by the Animals before the Hills Bite Back
In full: What is a testing hilly course was made tougher by the searing heat on the hottest day of the year. But the organisation was good and the marshalls and two drinks stations were excellent.

This made for a nice end of season run to enjoy with friends and family, where my daughter enjoyed the fun run and we all enjoyed a relaxed day in the park, with a picnic and lashings of icecream.

In short: First 10k - hasn't put me off!
In full: Despite the heat, despite the hills which aren't undulating I really enjoyed my first foray into this distance.

Organisation great, lots of encouraging marshalls - special thanks to the chap at 9km mark who suggested impressing the rest of the marshalls which kept me going!

Welcome hose down at 5 and 7k mark and good support in Owlesbury.

Don't have anything else to compare it too but with a bit more hill training will be back next year

In short: A lovely, if hot, run out for a good cause
In full: Marwell is a great day out for the family, support opportunities at the beginning and end. And then of course all day entry to the park itself.
Start was a little confused, and a little late but no serious problems. I did feel for the families that had turned up for a day at the zoo with no idea that the run was on.
The first 6k is hilly - you could call it undulating, but I'd call it hilly. This leaves a nice cruise back down for the final 4.
If you have a young(ish) family I'd recommend this event just for the discounted entry, though the nice girl in the ticket kiosk tried to foist a family ticket on us, claiming to know nothing about the discounted entry. Nice try.

In short: very tough due to the heat but great race with great scenery
In full: Had a lovely day out, a race through the country followed by a day at the zoo! The hills in the first half were tough and made so much harder because it was so hot! The people with hoses were greatly appreciated!

In short: Beautiful location; and hot
In full: Well organised, and beautiful scenery - running past rhinos and ostriches on the way out of the park. The discount for race spectators to get into the park was not particularly generous, so it is quite expensive for the family unless you plan to spend the whole day there. It was really hot and a lot of the course is up moderate hills, so I doubt there would be many PBs.

All in all a good race - and next year, if the weather is up to it again, we'll budget to stay longer after the event to see if we can spot the elusive leopards.

In short: Stunning location, and nice challenging course
In full: Strange to start a race passing ostriches and tapirs! Lovely rural course with plenty of hills in the first half. Excellent marshalling, and a real feeling of occasion. Very hot day made this harder than I'd expected.
