In short: Why-oh-why do we have that mini-roundabout????
In full: Poor marshalls standing out in that lot! At least we could keep warm running. Monotonous course with nothing to look at. Wish I had run with stereo on. Felt sorry for thew first-time runners who were struggling. Why were the numbers so low with such a large catchment area? Perhaps the entire nation is just becoming more unfit.
Race well organised and marshalls were brilliant (except for the last half-mile when it wasn't obvious where to go!)
Next year? The Ten Miler may be a better choice for me as I have now done the 20 twice and didn't really enjoy them. Sorry.

In short: Excellent - an essential race to sharpen you for a spring marathon
In full: This is always a cracking race. Bit windy this year but it adds to the spice. Very well organised as usual but who marked the course out? The mile markers were so inaccurate it was untrue.

In short: A good pre London outing. Will tell you if your training is going to plan.
In full: A course around quiet country roads. Mildly challenging enough to test your stamina for London. Very open in places so there is no respite from the weather. Big thanks to the marshalls this year who had to stand out in the strong winds this year. A well organised and run event.

In short: Windy & confusing finish
In full: Nice flat route tho very exposed to high winds; good marshalling around the main part of the course but horrible last mile! first going off to run around a little cul-de-sac for no obvious reason then back onto the main round and then around some kind of mini industrial estate with neither markings or marshals. Just what you don't need after 20 miles. Also my garmin clocked 1.15m for that last mile so maybe we didn't need the cul-de-sac at all! Rather spoilt an otherwise fairy good day.

In short: 'wind-ham 20m'
In full: a very enjoyable race, good organisation and well marshalled on quiet roads. One atrotious bit near the end where runners cut up to a mini-roundabout and then back to the course just to make up the distance - just what you don't need after 19.5 miles of 20!! Not a real problem though.
