In short: Nice one
In full: After the Hill (which at the beginning is not so bad), it seemed more or less down hill the rest of the way. Really friendly bunch. Good outing.

In short: Very enjoyable
In full: met lots of lovely people en-route. The hill at the beginning is steep but not worth winging about it is well placed for when you are still fresh and the rest of the route is very flat or even downhill.

In short: The best organised Half Marathon I have done - excellent
In full: Don't be put off by the one significant hill soon after the start. Car Park was excellent, loads of drinks stations (not needed this year due to rain) and a pleasant route. The goody bag at the end provided half a weeks shopping! Wycombe is a great event for Runners - exposes Windsor and other similar events for the rip off that they are!

In short: Brilliant organisation and fantastic value
In full: This was my 5th half this year and I would rate it as the best for two reasons :
Organisation : No hold-ups at the start/finish, results posted quickly and the marshalls were first class - lots of them and they were so friendly. Thank you to Handy Cross Runners.
Goody Bag : Lovely paperweight, T-Shirt, Alarm Clock, Air Freshener, Water, Apple, Orange, Mars Bar, Penguin, Lollipop, Leaflets. I came away feeling as if I'd got every penny worth of my entry fee.

Much is made of the hill at the start but it's not as bad as it's made out to be (although it would have been a lot harder had the sun shone). If this race was run in March/April, it would deservedly get many more than the 1,000 finishers from this year.

In short: Up and down, tough but fun.
In full: The hill was tougher than I remember last year, but I was more worried about surviving the heat. Quite a tough course overall, some decent downhill stretches but hard on the quads. Enjoyed it although I seemed to be running in my own race as I only saw 2 guys ahead and 2 others come by me in 10 miles of running! Loos need sorting at the start, 10 portaloos would solve the problem easily. nice goody bag and good finishing commentary. Great weather also, a real bonus at this time of year.

In short: Ah the hill - such fond memories!
In full: We couldn't have wished for better weather. Good organisation, nice goody bag and t-shirt (although the medium drowns me!!). Seemed to be more traffic about that normal but perhaps that was the rain. They do need to do something about the queue for the loos at the beginning though!!

In short: Brilliant organisation, friendly marshalls and locals, useful goody bag
In full: Yes, there's a hill at the beginning, but once you've conquered that the friendly marshalls at every corner, the frequent drinks stations with sponges, the local support more than make up for it. An enjoyable run, with entertaining commentary at beginning and end. Well worth getting out of bed for.

In short: Challenging course with good atmosphere
In full: The ascent within the first mile is tough and 5 miles later there is an equally steep descent. Beware that 2nd half of the course is also a gradual uphill all the way to the finish. For these reasons I'd do it again!

Organisation excellent. Commentry excellent (liked the suggestions before the start that we all ought to be running around warming up!) Marshalling excellent. Plenty of water stations with sponges. Good goody bag.
