In short: enjoyable, apart from getting in and getting out.
In full: I've run a few races now and although i didn't have a prob finding the start, getting in to the race was hell and getting out was hell to.The race its self was very pleasant and uplifting in all sections.

In short: Marshalled excellently.
In full: Start was chaos, up the road and back a few times. No mat. But marshalls and water stations were great, sponges helped with the heat. Wasn't happy about the farm track section, it wasn't kind to my ankles. Seemed like miles in the middle of nowhere with no support at all. Enjoyed the abuse from drivers being held up, did see a couple of guys nearly taken out by some idiot trying to turn across runners path. Less said about the hill for the last 2 miles the better!! Enjoyed the running track finish.

In short: Great first half marathon course, friendly marshalls, good crowd, very enjoyable
In full: This was my first race ever. It was very enjoyable, not over challenging but I knew I had done 13.1 miles come Tuesday! Very friendly. Will be back next year for sure.
(Please sort the car park ou though!!)

In short: Pleasant enough run
In full: Friendly marshalls, pleasantly warm, mainly flat, enjoyed the farm track - all spoiled by the parking chaos at the end. (Over an hour to move 20 yards!!!)

In short: Really good race, course is great all like doing this one, much better than the Southend 10Km
In full: Not sure why people are moaning about the start or the car parking. If you want a bad start you should have been at the Southend 10Km last year. I don't have a problem with no mat at the start for the timing as a race is from when the gun goes. In a 1/2 Marathon I am not really worried about a minute or so to get over the start line as this can be made up on the course. Not sure what can be done about the car parking, you just have to live with it

In short: No start Mat and Car Parking Terrible
In full: The start was poorly organised and i walked for a while not even realising i had gone over the start line - there was no mat to record your start time despite having a chip. Route OK, seafront would be better. Uphill ending hard esp for beginneer. One hour to get out of the car park was the one thing that would stop me doing it again.

In short: Poorly organised start but very well marshalled round the course with lots of water/sponge stations. Exiting car park awful sat there for an hour. Pretty bad getting into car park beforehand as well. Good variety of scenery etc!
