In short: Nice, flat, scenic (if you like boats) and suits beginners
In full: Race day was well organised. Easy to follow, plenty of easy parking, signs and marshalling. The loop in the course meant drink stations were very regular. Sponges an added bonus. Registering was easy but a bit confusing as no details about the process. Number didn't turn up until about two days before the race. The race map wasn't clear, although understood after investigation.

In short: A very good event
In full: A very good event. I ran it in 2008 and again this year. The route has improved and it's ideal if you are after a pb - weather permitting. Only minor thing was a lack of marshalls in the last half mile when the public had to be dodged a few times!

In short: Great race.
In full: A race that seems to have been designed to be a fast race. Was quite windy along the front which threw a bit of a spanner in the works!! Brilliant to be able to see the front runners race unfold as the stormed back passed!! Back next year for sure, hope the wind isn't!!!

In short: A good intro to half marathons
In full: A good flat route along the seafront. From a runners perspective a single, longer lap along more of the seafront would be better. But the shorter two laps make it much better for spectators. Overall it's a good, well organised race that's worth doing.

In short: fast friendly still buzzing now
In full: thought the repeat laps would be demoralising for a mid to back runner but seeing my friend come through as second lady and maintain it made me look out for her and felt like we ran together. marshalls were fab, plenty of water stations. sponges were a great idea! weather wasnt great but suited me and hey you cant control that anyway! I knocked 11 minutes off my PB so its all good.

Tshirt??? never got one!! Goody bags and food afterwards were non-existant. A banana would have been nice. especially since it was a 2 hour drive home! also think they should have done the prize giving sooner as there was no one there!!!!

In short: very enjoyable and nice course although would have been nice to have continued along the front further before turning back hence only one lap.

In short: oh I do like to run beside the sea-side...
In full: Lovely and flat, alongside the seafront so it gives a fantastic view of the sea. Great for spectators, who could see runners four times! Great support, organised by a local charity who do a great job. No goody bag but everyone gets a medal and everyone (even the slowest runners) get fabulous support from the crowd. Very easy to get to by bus, train or car, too.
I recommend this to first-time runners. treat yourself to a Rossi ice-cream at the end!!
