In short: Entered last year and the fact that we came back (from Northern Ireland) to do it again shows how good the race is!
In full: I captained a team from the CHESHIRE Regiment based in Northern Ireland to run in the Army Marathon Championships. After a hard fast race we emerged as eventual winners which is no mean feat given that two of my soldiers were running their first marathon. A big thank you to all those who supported the "22 Runners" on the way around. Only thing is we have to do it all again next year. Excellent to see the green ribbons at variuos stages on the course.

In short: Thanks to the Amblers! A fantastic race
In full: This was my first marathon and the excellent organisation meant I didn't have to worry about anything else other than getting round. A huge forum presence and great supporting crowds made for a really friendly atmosphere. Put me down for next year! Thanks to all concerned.

In short: The first 18 miles were great...
In full: ...but somehow the last 8 were a touch hard. 1st marathon and would recommend it to anyone stupid enough to want to run one.

In short: Fantastic day, brilliant marsalls, great course and good support.
In full: This was my first marathon and I approached it with a degree of apprehension, but thanks to immaculate organisation, friendly marshalling and flat course it turned into one of my favourite race days.
