In full: Agree with RW Race Report. A speedy course with very good PB potential if weather conditions right. Good facilities at Race HQ. Marshalling as usual was excellent and signage was brilliant.

In short: Largely industrial with a final stretch along the seafront. Parking was a nightmare and quite a distance between HQ and startline. Lots of road-crossing too, so not ideal for PBs.
In full: None of the marshalls seemed to know where the nearest first-aider was for someone who had fallen and in a more serious situation it seems unlikely that the runner would have received attention as quickly as necessary.

The parking was ridiculous - 10-20 mins walk at least. The start line was then a further 10 mins walk from the race HQ.

On the up side, the marshalls were friendly and encouraging, the course almost completely flat and having contacted the organisers I found them to be very helpful indeed.

My 9 year old also thoroughly enjoyed the under 12s fun run, making 5th after starting at the back. He also received a certificate in the post after the race in addition to the medal he received on the day, which was a nice touch.

In short: Sort that start out - PB ruined by start
In full: Start was a disgrace, should never have been allowed to happen. Held prior to start across road - fine, but the minute across the start line tunelled into one lane and then a pavement, after that fine but added a minute + to my starting mile. No toilets at finish area is not a good idea.

In short: good organisation. very friendly.done before.never disopionted.
In full: new route good, a few laps round an old air field in the middle section. Would recomend this one for a fast time or a first 1/2 marathon.

In short: My first half marathon. A good choice, if rather dull scenery
In full: Scenery dull. Marshalls great. No chocolate at the end a dissapointment! Wish runners from clubs wouldn't run 5 or 6 abreast so you can't get past them easily.

In short: Quick course - always nice to finish the year with a PB
In full: Yes a couple of problems with new course but once through the start - fast & flat. Didn`t mind the airport laps as it great to see the faster runners in front & to support the runners behind. Great support from the marshals (thanks it does pick me up). Can`t believe I missed the Jelly Babies...twice. Showers were the coldest ever but I needed to cool down. Thanks GRR. I`ll be back - same time next year??
