In short: Local course and flat - a little bit dull though!
In full: The event was organised well enough and although the course is a little bit bland there is excellent pb potential. To be honest there is not too much they can do with the course to improve it as Gosport is such a small place. I am a Gosport resident so this is an ideal course for me. If I lived further than 20 miles away I probably wouldn't bother. The price was reasonable too.

In full: This was a fab race. Nice and flat but yes, a wee bit boring BUT lots of chances to see faster running pals and wave cheerily to them. I tried to enter on the Monday but entries closed. Contacted race oprganisers who were brilliant and let myself and another pal enter on the Weds !! Thanks guys. Brilliant seafront last few miles.

In short: My first half. Enjoyable, accessible, well-organised and excellent value
In full: This was excellent value (£16 iirc) and was a flat, fast course. Much of the scenery was nothing to write home about but there was a nice seafront section. Thoroughly enjoyable and hope to try again next year.

In short: Popular, flat,do you like runways?
In full: First time at Gosport for me - and I would give it another go. 1800 starters, Gosport is not brilliant by car unless you know the area - and the nearest Railway stn is the other side of Portsmouth Harbour . If you're ex Fleet Air Arm, this is your old almer mater . Fun day out, excellent goody bag.

In short: Fast and well organised half marathon
In full: Excellent race. The organisation and race venue were particularly good. Don't really care for goody bags, but this one was full of welcome stuff - cake, banana, chocolate coin, nutty bar, juice, sure there was more... The course was OK - the camp bit is a bit boring, but the band were loud and there were good pockets of support at Lee-On-Solent.
