In short: Great scenic course and organisation In full: 4th time out and a new pb. Shows that although it has a hill it can be quick. Another beautiful sunny day for a stunning course with castle, sea views and lap of the great Orme to boot. great organisation. A cracking event all round Date of review: November 21, 2012

In short: The Orme is a great challenge with great scenery but that's about it...... In full: Second time I've done this race, really enjoyed it both times. The start was better organised this year but still needs major improvements, its almost impossible to pass the first couple of miles due to the narrow track. The climb up the Orme isn't that bad, it's just very long and steady. The view from the top is breathtaking (or was it the climb!) and the downhill is very welcome. I thought the hardest part was getting back to Conwy after the Orme, it's long and flat and you can see the castle which is still several miles away, found it a bit tough knowing I'd still gotta haul myself all the way back to it! In short: Challenging, scenic, well supported and marshalled and above all, FUN! In full: This was my first Half Marthon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Orme wasn't nearly as hard as I'd expected and I was thrilled to come in at 1hr 50. So glad I did it, will be back next year :D Date of review: December 4, 2010

In short: Fantastic route and views, great slog up the Orme, good to see finish line from 3miles away! In full: Just squeezed this one in before the weather got silly: would still recommend leggings! The start wasn't great - bit clogged up and a few bottle necks till about mile 2, but clear up the hill and down the other side. Liked the beach-path (not sand). Water stations not placed quite right - would have preferred @5/8/10 rather that 3/8/11. Finish needs more hand-out points as had to queue for 20 mins (finishing 1hr48). my second half marathon, enjoyed, will be back! Date of review: November 27, 2010

In short: Challenging but very enjoyable race. In full: Great race, the start was much improved from last year, and I didn't experience any issues with collecting the T-shirt and medal at the end either. Will be back again next year. Date of review: November 26, 2010

In short: Great atmosphere, great views, great race In full: Excellent race with a tough course but outstanding views.Very friendly, especially the vocal, supportive marshalls. The climb up the Great Orme feels like it will never end, but it's downhill and fast to the finish. Great organization, just needs a tweak at the end to sort the bottleneck. Already pencilled in for next year. Date of review: November 26, 2010

In short: Excellent course with a bit of a lump in the middle. In full: Really enjoyed this race. Course was great, a little tight at places close to the start which caused a bit of congestion with slower runners causing the occasional bottlenecks, but nothing significant.
Really good local support all the way round. Apparently the views are spectacular at the top of the Orme, but by that stage I think my eyes were bleeding.
Great coming down the other side and could certainly make up the time lost going up.
Bit chaotic at the end aswell, but again nothing a little tweek wouldn't sort out.
Definately recommend putting this on your list of races to do. Date of review: November 24, 2010
