In short: Wet wet wet
In full: I agree with JW3 it would have been nice to know about the MP3 ban before the race. I had no option but to keep mine with me and had nowhere else to put it.Hubbie had the car keys, and was off in the distance. The race director shouted at me from his car too, at which point I let him know I didn't have it switched on (Obviously I wouldn't have heard him otherwise) and I still had a very rude marshall shout at me to take my ipod off, at the finish, which was a bit pointless by then. Rant rant rant. Suggest they put it in the paperwork we receive beforehand, like other races do.
Otherwise the marshalls were very friendly with words of encouragement, and it's a good route. I managed a good PB, so was happy.

In short: A wet one!
In full: Very well organised, although would liked to have been warned about the no MP3 rule (was it a rule, or was it just the scary woman next to me telling me 'road runner's shouldn't wear them'?) before I had put my ipod in a plastic bag and was ready on the start line. Had to run into the field to put it in the car during the race, so was a bit grumpy for the first mile or so. Sound Vs silence debate definitely still a contentious issue! Nice scenery and did an ok time.Nice fast ending after the hill. Would do again.

In short: Fantastic race - even with the wind and rain
In full: Brilliant race, marshalls were upbeat and encouraging even though they were cold and wet. Lovely course, even enjoyed the hill at the end. Cakes at the finish were a godsend. Brilliant race, organised, marshalled and supported by great people.

In short: Nice, quiet circuit - well marshalled
In full: PB'ed even in the rain and wind so slightly biased but well run race with good pub near the HQ/start/finish so would be good to bring the family along to cheer you on and then celebrate/commiserate at the bar afterwards. Well run and organised by the promoting club and if the weather had been better the post race atmosphere would have been great. Hill at the end was harsh but you did get to run down it to begin with within the first mile so you knew it was coming.

In short: nasty conditions vicious hill near end.
In full: This years run was acompanied by rain and a very strong wind. The conditions combined with the big hill at 5 miles made this a difficult but rewarding run.
