In short: Best half marathon in the country
In full: Great race well organised and very flat, apart from the small matter of the great orme but the views from the top more than make up for the climb

In full: My first time doing this one, and surprisingly got a PB, despite the Orme! Scenery was lovely and it really was perfect conditions for running. Everyone friendly, but what was with all the queues!? I arrived over an hour early by car, marshalls directing traffic until the point were we were directed out of town and then no more marshalls or signs; parked in a side street in the end. Then couldn't see the sign for baggage so although I had collected number the night before joined the big queue (for numbers) and found out at the end that baggage was round the back and needn't have queued. Not enough portaloos so another mega queue for that too. Then a bit of a queue whilst running between miles 2 and 3 due to the narrowness of the track. Then of course the 15 minute queue for T-shit, medal and bourbon biscuit at the end - and all the while getting cold and seizing up. That really needs sorting for next time. Would I do it again though? Yes, it's a really nice run (especially after the summit of the Orme). Oh, and to Damian Heavey who asked about photos - yes, just go to http://www.mickhall-photos.com/ and follow the links.

In short: Second time out and Second time getting a PB, don't know how with the hill.
In full: A great event, improve first few miles this year with a wide road section rather than the narrow cycle paths of last year.

Ran this event 1st in 2011 and got a Half PB, having knocked out a new pb at Birmingham Half 4 weeks ago, I wasn't expecting to get another so soon. Nearly 26 mins quicker than last year.

Great event I will be back next year.

In short: What great views from the great orme
In full: What a great day for all the family. Keeps the kids involved with the fun run in between and great views from parts of the course. The great orme was no easier than last year but it all adds up to a good day. Only thing I'd change is the queuing for a t-shirt at the end. Wouldn't stop me doing it again though.

In short: Cracking!
In full: First time in a half marathon and it wont be the last, even the false summits of the Orme didnt put me off, and did a respectable time too.

I echo the sentiments of the others, a bit too much queueing whilst cooling down, but nothing too major.

A decent medal and tee at the end was an adequate goody bag.

Were there any official rece photos taken?

Will be back next year though!

In short: Fantastic scenery, great run and great runners
In full: Agree with all other statements on this race- organisation could have been better for the end- Luckily I finished quite early and didnt need to queue- my partner however had to wait nearly 15 mins to get T and M, when she should have been stretching.

Really good race though with some great competitors along the way!

Will be here next year.

In short: Great race, lovely views, brilliant T-Shirt & Medal
In full: Really enjoyed this run, first time doing the Half Marathon here, found the Orme a bit testing, marshalling i thought was great and encouraging to the runners, water was a small issue but nothing you couldnt cope with, overall a great run, will defo be back next year

In short: Great views and weather I'll be back next year
In full: I agree with the other posts , I was luck enough to have collected my number on the saturday and also had time to park and go to the loo in a tea shop which i was very glad of when i got to the start to see the queue's there.
The marshalls were friendly and encouraging but the water situation could be better , at the 1st/last water stop the volunteers were punching a hole in the foil top to drink out of which i was lucky enough not to cut my lip on ...the Orme was as hilly as i expected so I was very pleased to get a PB ( slow but still a PB for me - only my second race tho ;-) )
the organisation at the finish needs improving , to have to queue for 10 minutes for your medal and t-shirt when you need to be stretching isn't great , not sure why they couldn't be handed out as people came through the finish line ?
Overall i really enjoyed the race and would recommend it to anyone.
