In short: Lovely autumn colours, but a bit too much wading for a PB
In full: Incredibly wet, rivers of water streaming down the road, vast puddles and floods of water to wade through (or queue to scramble by the hedge for those of us at the back). Lovely scenery and autumn colours took my mind off the steep hills. Excellent cheery marshalls supported us all the way round. Sufficient water stations. Great to have finish time texted afterwards. All in all, a lovely challenging race that I would be very happy to do again.

In short: Wet, Wet, Wet!
In full: although this was the wettest race i have run in so far, i thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again. Would rather a medal at the end but a T-Shirt is a nice reminder.

In full: Ran this race in 2003, never forgot it as I classed it as a 'PW' - Personal Wettest, rather than Personal Worst, as all the rain we hadn't had in the previous 6 months landed on Marlow that morning and the course was flooded in places. Then moved away in 2005, but decided a few months ago it might be good to come back to do the race again, thinking how pretty it could be if it was a sunny Autumn day...ha ha!Though the rain did more or less stop soon after we set off, the course was even more flooded than 2003 - maybe it's my fault? The Weather Gods had noticed I was coming back? Perhaps it's time to rename the race Marlow Half Paddle-athon.Certainly made doubly sure I'll never forget this race!

In short: Great scenery with a few hills, brilliant
In full: A Fantastic race with a few tough hills, which were even more challenging due to the roads being flooded. I'm soo pleased the race wasn't cancelled, i loved it and will definitely be back next year..

In short: Flooded Hilly Chilterns
In full: Wettest I've ever got. After torrential overnight rain the water was pouring off the Chilterns flooding all of the low points up to knee high at some points. And of course the usual steep hills. So, not for the faint hearted or any PBs this year, but it was a fantastic expoerience.

In short: Kayak anyone?
In full: Weather was awful so course was officially flooded but that didn't stop the race taking place thankfully.

Course is supposed to be hard and slow anyway but in places you were knee deep in water.

Hill at mile 8 was really hard and made the final one at mile 11 easy by comparison.

Brilliant last downhill mile to finish.

No medal but nice t-shirt.

Really enjoyed it even in the tricky conditions.

In short: Brilliant race as usual and made extra challenging this year by the weather.
In full: Marlow was fantastic again and the flooding made it extra special! In all the years I've been running I've never run through so much freezing water, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The marshal's were very supportive in horrible conditions. Will be back again next year to run this very challenging race again:-)

In short: Well organised race despite the rain
In full: This continues to be a MUST DO race. Great course and scenery. Good support from the marshalls that endured the weather longer than us runners had to. Nice new touches lately with a text msg of our finishing time.

Only requests: (a) Please can we have the cotton long sleeve t-shirts back? I think many ppl have technical t-shirts already that seem to last forever (b) if the forecast is similar in future years, some matting on the grass would help. 1000 ppl tramping up and down the demarked muddy areas left everyone as losers(ruined ground, dirty gym and shoes).

In short: Wow
In full: A very special experience. The conditions were so bad it made for a brilliant event. Trying to find a dry patch to tun in was a waste of energy because as soon a your feet warmed up you were back splashing through another "river". Thought the rain had stopped for the start (or maybe i did not notice or care) and i am sure the sun came out for a while. Superb support, marshalling and organisation in very difficult circumstances. Well done to everbody
