In short: Beautiful autumnal course but darn those hills
In full: My first time in Marlow and definitely not my last. This is a challenging course, it begins with a gradual 2 mile ascent and then later on it hits you with two monster hills that almost reduced me to standstill. Glorious sunshine whilst running through beautiful autumnal countryside and with friendly athletes. Not a course to plan a PB unless you're good with hills. The last 2 miles are a gentle descent allowing for a very strong finish if you have any petrol left. Nice long sleeve tshirt at the end. I would definitely do this again.

In short: Just like Marmite - you'll either love it or hate it !!
In full: At least this year was dry !! The last 2 yrs were under 6 inches of water - should have used a canoe.
Great race again this year, marshalling and general organisation was excellent once again. Good T-shirt for finishing. Crowd support was good as usual.
Those hills don't get any easier, my calves were sore for three days after, just about managed an uncomfortable 5 miles Wednesday night following the race.
Definalely recommended to those of you with a high pain threshold.
Go for it :-)

In short: Tough, hilly race but attractive course with excellent organisation
In full: A very tough race but it was a lovely day, the scenery was often beautiful and the marshalls were plentiful, courteous and encouraging in equal measure. Thanks to you all, but especially the two at the top of that brutal hill at 9 miles who applauded us for getting to the top, but were kind enough not to let on that there was another one to follow. A real challenge and unlikely to be a PB course for many people but a really excellent event.

In short: If you love hills then this one is for you!
In full: Great race but hard. Demanding ascents and painful descents. Very friendly atmosphere. Many thanks to the supportive marshalls who had to spend hours in the cold.

In short: If you want a challenge, this one is excellent!
In full: Glorious scenery, painful hills, just the right number of runners so you're not tripping over them or struggling to find one, and really friendly. The commentator was excellent, and was going all day. Just do plenty of hill training in advance and don't expect a PB (although somehow I got one!). All in all, fabulous - thanks to all the great marshals, there seemed thousands of them!

In short: Tough run but very rewarding
In full: Great atmosphere, excellent scenary but extremely tough. Mostly up hill, some nice down hill stretches and two killer hills... Not for the faint hearted, but felt great doing it. The marshalls were really encouraging, clapping and cheering for the whole race! Only my second half marathon, but would definitely run it again.

In short: Tough but beautiful race
In full: Another well organised race in the Chiltern woodlands. The marshals were excellent, the only way the could have helped me more would have been to carry me up those two late hills .... !
