In short: Nice course, has some vey hilly parts though
In full: This is a great course for beginers, or advanced is hilly in places be careful. Most years is one of the hottest days of the year make sure you drink plenty of water. Is organised quite well no major problems. Only downside not enough changing or WC facilities.

In short: This was my first ever half marathon, very well marshalled and organised, exactly what one needs. Bit hilly though.

In short: Organisation really understands runner need
In full: Organisation: A big praise for the number of water stations, the best I ever seen so far, much better then London Marathon, Shakespeare marathon and other races I have participated in.
Track: Very hard track, a real “ I wish I had trained more” track!!
Beautiful scenery, I dreamed me back to my childhood’s summers when running or maybe it was the heat doing me crazy. I will definitely come back next year.

In short: A well-organised run in testing conditions
In full: This is a much bigger event than I expected and much time and planning was clearly spent in making this a significant date in the St Albans calendar.
I found the run itself extremely tough - probably my toughest yet. Two weeks previously I ran a very hilly Canterbury course and thought that would automatically prepare me for this. But I started too quickly in the heat and by mile three I already knew it would be a struggle + it turned out to be far hillier than Canterbury!
Well done to all the organisers - clearly they listened to the feedback from last year to make this a more attractive course. There was also ample water and good support from all the marshalls. I will do this again.

In short: Great but the last hill got me
In full: I ran this about 5 years ago and much preferred this years course. Lots of water stations and no really stepp hills until 11 miles. I guess I should have trained better !!

Will be back in 2008
