In short: Peaceful undulating country lanes, with long main road section.
In full: In 2006, a bolting horse ran amongst the runners. In 2007, a rider used the runners to train her horse for crowds. I hope in 2008 the organisers have good insurance and more astute marshals. It is an accident waiting to happen.

In short: A lovely course with a friendly crowd of runners and organisers. If you are around and in the area it's well worth doing but be aware that the organisation is not great. We were directed to the wrong filed for parking and had to move again!
In full: I would recommend this run as a good training run as it's sceninc and reasonably hilly so you'll get good value from it. It isn't a course for PBs though and the organisation is a bit hit or miss - when arriving the main car park was full so we were directed to a filed which turned out not to be the right one so after a few wheel spins we had to drive to another before finally parking! If it had been raining a lot of people would have been bogged down so look for spaces on the surrounding roads in the villlage if it's raining. Having said that the village hall had great tea and cakes for after.

In short: Lovely weather and scenery helped to make this race.
In full: You couldn't fault the weather for February, blue sky and sunshine. A little tight at the start but it opens up after the first half mile. Plenty of well placed water stops around the course.
The weather was certainly glorious and added to the scenery as we made our way around the course.
I have to admit this was not one of my better races, I was on target at 10K but after that it was down hill to the finish (or should it be up hill on the last half mile). I will put it down to the remains of a viral infection I had a couple of weeks back.
This year the parking was in a nearby field, luckily we haven't had too much rain otherwise it might have been fun and games getting home.
Anyway the race can be used as a pointer to gauge your fitness level early in the year so is definately worth doing.

In short: Lovely! Cracking scenery, atmosphere and organisation.
In full: I entered the 5.25 mile fun run and had a great time. Lovely scenery in my favourite part of the country, excellently orgainised, friendly helpful stewards. A great feel to the whole occasion. Only one tiny negative point was no memento for the fun runners. Will do it again next year.

In short: A fun race with nice scenery
In full: This is the second year I have run this race. Last year the reports of hills meant that I went a bit slower than normal - but there are only really two, and one is at the very end. Its could be a PB course but there are quicker out there. What it is though is a very enjoyable run, with good organisation, facilities and car parking. What else do you need in a race?!
