In short: A really good small Half Marathon on a challenging course In full: This was the first time that I've run this half marathon and I was surprised at how good it actually was. The organisation was first class, with the start and finish running very smoothly indeed. The marshalling was also very good and there seemed to be water stations every 2 miles or so!
The course itself is very undulating and testing, so a PB is fairly unlikely - However, I had to rate it as a 3 in this respect as I managed to scrape a new PB myself having hit some surprising form on the day.
I liked the race HQ in the village hall with the cafe and food facilities and being given a T-Shirt at the finish added to the value of the event. To cap things off the results were printed off straight after the event and placed in the race HQ and they were even on-line within 2 days of the actual event - I consider this to be pretty good.
I hope to be back next year with less wind to battle against. Date of review: February 6, 2008

In short: Nice route, good organisation. Strong cold wind though. In full: Strong wind against on that longish hill between 5 and 6 miles almost stopped me a couple of times and that last hill was challenging. Great course though. Shame I couldn't take advantage of the first downhill section because of the overcrowding. Apart from that it was very well organised. Thanks. Date of review: February 5, 2008
