In short: challenging, but you have to do it to understand its individual beauty
In full: A relatively small race with mostly club runners, but still immensely friendly. There are hills of course, but mostly gradual climbs and some do go on for a while, but the feeling at the highest point when the marshall says "it's all downhill from here" - then you turn the corner and see Portree in the distance, far below, aand everything is ok again! Loved it and so pleased with my time at 1:32.

In short: Excellent event!
In full: Fantastic scenery, well marshalled, lots of support and plenty of water stations. Free swim/sauna and soup/sandwiches afterwards was much appreciated. Organisation of the whole event was fantastic. The only downside of this race was the hills!!

In short: A fabulous scenic run which starts with the sound of bagpipes at the local sport centre. Very hilly, but managable and well worth it. Everyone running were so friendly and helpful. Well worth the 1000 mile drive to get there, what a gorgeous place.

In short: a special location and a well organised race with an exceptional atmosphere
In full: Organisation like clock-work. bagpipes at the start line, mind-blowing scenery, uncrowded field, plenty of water stations , crofter support along remote route and fantastic community atmosphere, plenty of hills to get your teeth into ! The race is well worth the trip to Skye and the stay in Skye is special in itself.
