In short: My first half marathon and it converted me!
In full: A great crowd and a great course. The start and finish worked like clockwork given such a big field, and I really liked being able to see the elite runners sprinting back past you as you run up the river.

In short: This was the first competitive run that I've done, so obviously my first half marathon. Whilst I don't have anything else to compare it to I was very impressed with the organisation, and the atmosphere was brilliant.

In short: The best HM going? Top course. Superb atmosphere. Despite it's size it works perfectly. Ace for beginners.
In full: Twistyness at the start is the only problem, given the number of competitors. This really has it all, though - a marvellous fast course, bags of water/sponges/energy drinks, fabulous spectator support, spot-on organisation and more pubs and restaurants that you can shake a stick at once you've got the medal. Marvellous.

In short: My first half-marathon. Great atmosphere, pity about the start line traffic jam.
In full: Everyone warned me about the slog up the Portway - I don't know what they were talking about as it was definately my favourite part having lost the traffic jam at the start. I was held up at the beginning by those obviously starting in the wrong place for their fitness level. Otherwise I had a great day.

In short: Fantastic!
In full: A brilliant event that was very well organised and executed. Plenty of drinks along the way and a nice flat course for a PB. A little disapointing to do a long 'out and back' on the same road, but this was forgotten when re-entering Bristol centre. The crowds were brilliant and as the roads are a little narrow it feels like the crowds are right on top of you!
A most enjoyable event and will certainly be back here in favour of the Great North Run anytime.
