In short: My first half marathon
In full: The completing of a year long goal. A really well organised big run. Goody bag...rubbish!

In short: Shame about the organisation at the end.
In full: Enjoyable enough race, but the organidsation at the end left something to be desired. The shepherding after the finish was so poor that I missed the goody bag completely. Only a small matter, and the contents probably were not up to much anyway (!), but it's all part of the occasion. Completed in just over two hours.

In short: Good course but Organisation needs a rethink!!
In full: It's all been said - and I am still waiting for the T shirt! I didn't run in 2006 but ran in previous 4 and this was the worst organised of the 5. I do like the course and even the inclines seemed easier this year. Organisation can only get better can't it? NOTE to organisers - if you want to make it as big as GNR - dont!! Also, look at Robin Hood Nottingham, Lady Godiva Coventry and Great Eastern Peterborough, half marathons to see how a City Centre race can be organised.

In short: Badly organised. Lateness of sending out race information, non-appearance of race t-shirt and worst "goodie" bag I have ever seen - a can of soup.! Dreadful value for money. Crowds largely absent for majority of route & mostly mute elsewhere.

In short: Better than last year but not as good as 2005. Like Freddie Flintoff.
In full: Big improvement on last year. There was less congestion on the course and at the finish.

The runner's village felt less like a livestock market than last year. Still too many fences, though. There weren't any when it was in Queen Square and that worked perfectly.

My only real gripe was mysteriously being given a purple number which meant starting somewhere near Cheltenham.

Is there any point on the Earth's surface from which it takes 8 - 10 weeks to deliver a gents t-shirt! Sound like an oh-bum-we-forgot-to-place-the-order situation to me.

Amazing how grumpy people get about goody bags. Can't see the point in them.

Great event.

In short: Good course, (apart from a few cobbles), a good enthusiastic crowd, a great day, let down by the `goody ' bag and T shirt.

In short: Less congestion than last year great support from the public
In full: This years course stopped a lot of the bottle necks that occured last year so a positive. The marshalls at the begining did not seem interested in their jobs by allowing people to line up anywhere so much for the colour coding. The googy bags were a big joke. How can you not get the T Shirts ready when you have had all year to plan other events seem to get it right. I think the organising committee need to have a rethink or get someone in that knows how to organise a big event like this otherwise it will lose its appeal. One thing that does not go down year on year is the public support around the course 100% fantastic.
With some more tweeking it will be there.
