In short: Very atmospheric run with good opportunity for a pb butonly if starting near the front, it was hideously congested at the start and especially on the barrage at 2 miles

In short: Brilliant race, definate PB potential although a little crowded at the start. Great finish at Millenium Stadium.

In short: A fantastic experience for my first half marathon. Shame about the lack of obvious mile markers, which made pacing myself difficult

In short: A complete lack of atmosphere and organisation.
In full: I can't imagine having done the full marathon. Going up and down over and over through Pontcanna Fields got boring enough the first time round; I'd have felt suicidal had I done a second lap!

In short: VERY FRIENDLY MARSHALL - ENCOURAGING SUPPORTIVE ++
In full: CROWDED START- DIFFICULTY PARKING BUT INCREDIBLY SUPPORTIVE MARSHALS. LOST MY BAG AND THEY WENT OVER AND ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY IN SEARCHING FOR IT AND FOUND IT. I COULD NOT SPEAK MORE HIGHLY OF THEM. BOOKING FOR '07 !

In short: I love the stadium finish!!! & running across the Barrage & through Bute Park. Start v congested tho (ended up in side street by car park). First energy drink station ran out b4 I got there. Fab medal. Liked the pacing bands!
In full: This is the third time I've done this & I think it gets smoother each time. (And I've managed a PB each time!) Except for the start this year - being on St Mary St which meant the back of the field started in a lane up from Westgate St - big bottleneck! Only other gripe was that 1st energy drink station had run out before I got there.Runners near me got confused about mile markers round about miles 7 & 8 (before the first section in the park) but I think I saw all the markers OK. Liked the Lucozade stand with the pacing bands at the start - saved me having to refer to a soggy piece of paper in my pocket! Hope to be back in 2007!

In short: Good, bad and then good again....
In full: Although in general, this was a good race that I really shouldnt complain at the minor details really did take the shine off the whole event. A few things to consider - 1. Runners should NEVER have to rip open cartons to obtain bottles of water 2. Wider course - felt claustrophobic most of the way around 3. Please put more support through the parks, thats where I really needed the help and not the run into the Stadium (which by the way was fantastic!) 4. Dont have roadworks on a section of anarrow course, it will just wind everybody up!

Apart from those issues it was a good route will plenty of marshalling and medical care if you needed it.

In short: Some problems, but a good atmosphere and an ideal beginner's race.
In full: My first ever half marathon, only ever done 'Race for Life' before, so nothing to compare it to. Agree with much of what other people have said about start, bottle necks, goody bags, lack of small t-shirts etc. We found it difficult to find, no signs to tell us where it was as we drove into Cardiff. Luckily a very helpful policeman told us where to park, then we just followed the crowd. The cobbles in the last mile were a killer! However, there were friendly marshalls and the crowd were great, cheering everyone on. My daughter and I enjoyed it, afterwards, and have raised money for charity. Many thanks to the organisers and volunteers, I am sure all the problems will be ironed out eventually.

In short: Enjoyed every step I ran - support was fantastic and encouraged me all the way. The final lap was very special and I felt very excited to be comleting the race.
