In short: Shame about the Castle, and some speed tiering needed,
In full: Thankfully we managed to nip out the Castle before it got really bad! But from all comments seems like a crazy bit of logistics! Where will the 2008 race finish i wonder? For the 2nd year in a row i saw some people start right at the front (ignoring the timing pens) + start walking within 90 seconds! Maybe they could provide a bit of tiering to avoid that as it looks amateurish and is frustrating and dangerous. How about diff coloured vests for sub 1h25, and the 1h25-1h40 group. then the start would be smooth and professional, and all the fastest 1000 or so wouldn't be tripping over walkers and selfish idiots for the first mile. Anyway, i'll tyr to keep doing this race as i grew up in the Vale, love running round Cardiff and the medal is excellent!

In short: The organisation in the castle was a disaster. One entrance/exit for 10,000 people could have led to somebody getting seriously hurt.

In short: Potential for a great race, but disastrous finish planning ruined it for me.
In full: This is a fine route in a fine city, and the idea of finishing in the castle precincts was great. However, the grossly irresponsible lack of thinking through how thousands of tired competitors were going to get out through one tiny gate, while tourists and supporters were trying to enter made it a miserable finish fir me - Standing going nowhere and getting cold for 50 minutes before persuading a marshall to let me sneak out at the gate where runners were coming in. Chip deposit bins were invisible in the midst of an area where competitors and families were allowed to stand around. The organisers should have issued apologies to all entrants, but haven't yet.

In short: At the start I vowed never again as very poor organisation but enjoyed the run
In full: Couldnt get near the toilet at the start. Missed many mile markers. Too many slow even walkers near the front. Had to queue for half an hour to get out of the castle - the stadium finish last year was fab. Good run though once i'd stopped being so cross about the stress of the start, will do it again this year and fingers crossed the organisers are a bit more realistic as to the amount of runners to facilities etc.

In short: Excellent race, needs better organisation
In full: This a good race and has excellent potential to get bigger and bigger. However it needs to be organised better. To finish in the castle wasn't the brightest of ideas due to access.
