In short: A great race, well organised with a fantastic atmosphere.
In full: Despite the 10k distance not being my distance of choice this has got to be one of my favourite races. It was well organised, had a brilliant atmosphere and a nice flat course. I loved the fact that it ran alongside the school fun day as that made it more of a day out - and meant my 2yo chief supporter could bet his face painted!!

In short: Made me a happy first-time 10k-er!
In full: Anyone who has read the thread will know that l was nervous as hell about this, my first at 10k. All the advice was right, though - this was an easy intro to the distance; competitive enough not to feel like a fun-run but with plenty of breadth to the field.

It's been said elsewhere, but l also appreciated the fact that 2 laps allowed runners to plan for the second-time around the course (not that l had a very complicated plan - just keep going!!!).

Agree with others re the parking along Lichfield Rd, though - made for v tricky weaving through walkers/slower runners/spectators during the last 1k, which was irritating in terms of a PB.

In short: Good fast run
In full: Good race this one. Arrived with about 2 minutes to go, as I hadn't checked the start time & (mistakenly) assumed it was 10.30, not 10 a.m.
At least it was dry, almost hot in parts & windy in others.
Did 42.07, quite pleased.
Good turnout & almost congested in parts.

In short: Thank you
In full: Superb organisation and plenty to keep the family happy while you fly your way to a PB around a fast course. Well worth travelling to.

In short: A cheeky 10K.. PB potential!!
In full: A quality local event. Good organisation by the stewards and plenty laid on for the finishers (yoghurts, juice, sweets and fruit. This was a nice touch. Traffic very considerate and directed well by the stewards. Things going on at the school to keep my son occupied as i was running. If your'e on your way back to full fitness after injury, ready to attempt your first 10K or after a new PB then this is the race for you. See you next year.
