In short: Good for ones humility
In full: Yes I had to walk at some stages of both 'The Beast' and the 'Major Muggle'...but here I had to walk for half the FIRST hill!..and later as well, of course. I hope by next year I will be able to RUN it all; if I wanted to walk up-hills then my hobby/sport/exercise would be ..er...hill-walking,not running.

In short: Excellent race as ever and one to look out for next year
In full: This was my second time running this (missed last year due to injury) and I'm convinced that the first hill has been made at least 50 metres higher... As ever it was superbly organised, with very good marshalling, mile marking and all the extra details. Are hats the new T-shirts as race momentoes - I've picked up two in the last month or so...
This is not for the faint-hearted - the hills are sapping, and you won't find many beginners here, but if you've tried some off-road running and want to push yourself to the limit without paying the ludicrous prices for a 'hellrunner' type event, then this is for you.

In short: 4th time I've run this race and the hills don't get any smaller. The last two miles seem to go on forever, but who can resist a last sprint along the station platform?! Great organisation as well with mile markers and plenty of marshalls.

In short: Interesting & varied course-no boring bits.
In full: Challenging and interesting course with lots of potential scenery (when not drizzly and misty!)
Enjoyed first attempt at this kind of thing & will definitely do it again when I have learned to run downhill!
