In short: Great Organisation and marshall support
In full: The 2 laps did my head in on a very hot testing day, did not enjoy passing the finish to do around again! 10/10 for friendliness, organisation, support from marshalls, water stations etc.

In short: Excellent race, well organised, worth the journey
In full: Despite the hot weather provision had been made with plenty of water to drink and to cool down with. The marshals, locals and holiday makers were all very supportive. The facilities for runners were good as was the running top.

We really enjoyed it and it was worth the 2 hour early morning drive!

In short: Great marshalling and organisation. Lots of thought for very hot runners
In full: We had a heat wave on 2 October when it should have been nice and cool. the day before the race the organisers bought waterbutts that they set out in between the water stations so you could cover yourself in water to cool down. Some of the local kids were helping hand the water out in basins. The marshalls were brilliant even though they had to stand out in the heat with no shade for hours. They were really positive. My favourite group had little headbands with pink pom poms on the end. Unfortunately, I had to retire at mile 20 due to the heat and couldn't finish. Nevertheless, if it hadn't have been hot I could have achieved a PB. Its a flat course and not so many people that you are always having to overtake. some of the roads are quite narrow so you have to rely on motorists giving you consideration, but all the ones I came across did. Mu only dislike was that it felt quite lonely at times as you are miles out in the country with just your thoughts, but that is a personal thing and shouldn't be a people not to do it. I'll be back next year and, heat forbidding, I'll be looking to finish it.

In short: Excellent support from marshalls, public etc. Goody bag with banana, mars bar and sports drink a really nice touch. Very hot, but well worth it!

In short: Nice race, friendly atmosphere. Hoped for PB but 26 deg temp took its toll. Well marshalled. Good final 2 miles along promenade. Well worth doing

In short: I'd recommend it to anyone - got to be one of the flattest courses out there
In full: The only reason for not doing it again is that we rarely do the same marathon twice - otherwise we won't have time to do them all.
We did it for a time, can't blame the heatwave on the organisers! Even in such extreme conditions there was plentiful water, full marks for that.

In short: Friendly, flat and fast
In full: Friendliest race I've run for a while, thanks to stewards (and Mablethorpe folks) for fantastic support on a ridiculously hot day. Brilliant to have loads of bottled water available, every marshal seemed to have some up their sleeve! As a bonus I scored a PB on the flat, fast course.

In short: Flat fast course, excellent organisation but at mercy of weather as exposed
In full: Brilliant organisation and marshalling, supportive and friendly. Good race HQ with changing and showers.

Fast flat course, not sure why 1/2 marathon had to set off first but that was only major gripe.

Hot day and seemed to be plenty of water on second lap think virtually every marshall had extra water in bottles so you could carry.

Very exposed course so will always be at merch of weather.

Pleasant route mixing quite country roads, paths and seafront - nice mix.

Results texted to you within minutes.

Great value race and well put on.
