In short: Great race, well marshalled and lovely community atmosphere.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the race, even with the strong breeze blowing! Lovely running through the woodland, very pretty course with the marshalls cheering you on at every corner.
Only downside was the slight congestion at the start/finish area and the road just outside where its difficult to run on narrow pavements on the return to the school, as the road is busy and lots of parked cars.
Overall loved the race and will definately be back next year.

In short: Really nice lively fun atmostphere and a lovely scenic run
In full: A really good fun race, great scenery, great support from the marshals and nicely organised. Sure the start and finish is a little tight but I did not see any great problems and all drivers courteous. Thank you to the organisers and marshals for a jolly morning that put a smile on my face on the cycle ride home. I will look forward to more of the same next year and hope the sun shines again as that really was a nice touch!

In short: Friendly picturesque race
In full: First Time i have run this 10k and thoroughly enjoyed it, lovely route, mostly off road everyone was very friendly.
A few more marshalls along road back to finish may help.
see you next year

In short: Local school organising a really good 10K with great woodland route. Well done
In full: The busy registration and start at the school provides a local community feel which after a tight start devlops into a great woodland run. Really enjoyed this and marshalls supportive throughout. Some sharp corners en route and slowed up on run in at the end due to parked cars and traffic but cheered all the way to the end. Know what to expect next year and a well done to everyone involved a good race.

In short: Pretty route with just enough ups and downs to make it interesting but not too hard!
In full: Thought the atmosphere was a little flat this year, compared with last year, but marshalling is excellent and encouraging to the point of being inspirational. Course is reasonably flat and did a PB today despite a pretty stiff breeze most of the way round. Only complaint is inadequate toilet facilities, which almost caused me to miss the start. Some mobile loos would be a good idea......

In short: An excellent event which could get better and better
In full: Turned up 2 weeks after London expecting something very low key and casual. Quickly realised there were quite a few serious runners lining up. I did not find the course as undulating as some have made out previously, but it IS twisty and the gates slow one down. The farmer who deliberately parked his tractor right across the path is a prat who just drags down the name of farming (I am in a farming family). I did shout across to him suggesting politely he move it. Marshalling was really excellent on the course.

My wife and 3-year old also ran in the parallel 5k fun run and thoroughly enjoyed it: my son's first race! He was very proud, and so was I! This is clearly an excellent race for beginners.

There is one MASSIVE area for improvement: Vets prizes please. I know this is a big fund-raising event but given how many 40+ now run you'd actually get a lot more entries and money if you offered some V40, V50 prizes. This is all the more important given the £10-£11 entry fee. Mind you, as I would have won a Vet prize I suppose I feel this a little keenly :-)

Super super event which I would definitely do again post-London. Really good atmosphere, and if only all events were this well marshalled ...

In full: Did the fun run for a bit of speed work as an over 50 - fine until encountered a marshall on his mobile with his back to me and ended up going the wrong way adding 1 km to the run - not impressed!

In short: Multi terrain kept it interesting...
In full: But I was seriously concerned at the finish which was poorly controlled. There were cars and kids and pedestrians all over the finishing area. Otherwise the route itself and marshals were great.
Will come again.

In short: Lovely Bank Holiday run in the woods
In full: Nice run mainly off road friendly marshals and support. The whole thing was very informal as run by the school but went without a hitch. Weather was lovely as was the route around Claygate common.
