In short: Looming clouds but lovely locals In full: With big rain clouds overhead, and a few drops before the start, this race had potential to be a cold and wet slog. I have to admit, I was not looking forward to it, as I walked across the soggy farmer's field that served as a parking lot. Luckily the rain held off, and the friendly locals made the race a really nice event. Hats off to the marshalls who stood out there with smiles and encouraging words, no matter the weather.

In short: Yep, there were some hills (I live in Suffolk and we call those hills). Nice medal, but would have enjoyed a banna vs candy bar at the finish. Date of review: August 24, 2006

In short: Challenging 2 lap course In full: This is a great half marathon, scenic and almost traffic free. As it is a 2 lap course you know exactly what is coming in the second half and although it becomes a little boring the course is challenging enough that you dont lose interest!
This year the conditions were cool but in the heat this race can be a killer!
Well marshalled and slickly organised, turn up latish and no problem with toilets or getting near the front, refreshing change from the bigger events.
100% worth the entry and worth giving a go, I would'nt miss this one. Date of review: August 22, 2006
