In short: Some tough hills!
In full: Hard race on a very hot day... Was 29c on the day and humid. Well organised and the guy with a hose was a life safer, probably literally :)

Great atmostphere at the end, the finish and the pool was great to unwind in. Nice touch.

In short: Spot on & still very good
In full: It`s a fine event. Course is excellent, parking is good (the walk eases off the legs), the use of the pool is just great. Well done.

In short: Well organised, enjoyable race in a lovely location
In full: This is a great race in a lovely location. The organisation and support were excellent, many thanks to the organisers for adding in an extra (much needed!) water station. The run itself was scenic and enjoyable, undulating but not hilly and the rare opportunity for a post-race dip in the open air pool was much appreciated!

In short: Good race but quite expensive
In full: Was a really enjoyable race this one. Signed up on the day though and they had changed the price- only a couple of quid more but I brought exact change and nearly wasn't allowed to run! Also, the photographers are asking £12 for a digital download?!?

The run itself though was really good and it was great to jump in the pool afterwards!

In short: I love Burnham Beeches half!
In full: This is an excellent race. This is the second year I have done this. Although hot, hot, hot this year it was still great. The atmosphere is good, there is a swimming pool for a dip afterwards if you fancy it, loads of room for spectators to relax and picnic during the race, the marshalls and volunteers are friendly. Recieved a water bottle and mars bar in my take home "party" bag. The race started on time, drink stations every 3 miles and a spot where you can pick up a bottle of water too. Ace!

In short: Beautiful day - but not for running!
In full: If I had been there for a perfectly organised walk in the woods I could not have had a better experience. The organisation, supportive marshalls (they all cheered me on), regular water stops and fantastic location were without parallel.

However, running on the hottest day in 2012 (starting at 25C and finishing around 27C) in med-high humidity turned things around. Although I finished, I could easily have dropped out at the half way mark and probably ran the second loop a minute per mile slower than the first.

The supportive marshalls (certainly no crowds) and great location and organisation made the day though!

In short: Good organisation, enjoyable course
In full: First time I did this race. On the hottest day of the year, a PB was tough to get, but course wasn't as brutal as feared. Dip in the pool afterwards was a bonus.

In short: Really good and well organised although very hot!
In full: Excellent organisation good atmosphere very scenic and well priced. Small improvement not allowed dogs near the start finish area provided they are on a lead what's the problem? Although may be a school restriction rather than the organisers.
Well catered for in the heat

In short: Soooooo hot. Well organised, good atmosphere.
In full: Slowest half in about 5 years due to the heat. The course is very scenic with many undulations that give the course a bit more difficulty.
