In full: Scenic run, not for beginners. A slog it was, but worth it. Would definitely run it again.

In short: Great race, I look forward to next year!
In full: Thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of the Slog. This was my second year of running it and feel I definately benefitted from running it last year. I had some idea of when the long slow climbs were coming up and could prepare mentally for them. Even improved my time by all of 30 seconds! I was just pleased to go under 2 hours again for the course. I would agree with the 15% over normal half marathon time. If you enjoy cross country and a challenge, what are you waiting for? Come and sign up for the Slog.

In short: Friendly, tough but rewarding.
In full: I really enjoyed the race and appreciate the work that obviously went into the organisation. Thanks to all the supporters on the course as well. The route was very well marked with only one point between 8-9 miles where an extra 'straight on' arrow would have prevented myself and a few others from taking a momentary wrong right turn. Thanks once again.

In short: Fantastic!
In full: This was a great race and my first half marathon. I was a little concerned having read the reviews on here from last year about how hard this race is, but surprised myself by simply plodding along and not slowing up the hills.

The view was fantastic from the top and I plan to visit again to see it... rather than looking at the ground ahead!

I will be back next year to beat my time!
