In short: Mud, mud, glorious swamp
In full: Did the Hellrunner last weekend which was fun, but this was grrreat! Splendid atmosphere - I'm sure some bodies were left in the Turbo Zone Swamp!!! There were definitely more smurfs and ballerinas at Hellrunner, tho....

In short: more more more!
In full: I see the next Turbo X race is June next year. Why do we have to wait 7 months? Another fantastic race in every way and yes it is Thursday and yes my feet still have Longmoor mud stuck on 'em...

In short: 1st timer at Turbo X & it will not be my last.
In full: Yes it was cold, dirty, smellie, wet & hard work on a challenging course & that was before the Turbo X zone !! Great marshalling & great camaraderie between runners. Would I do it again...Yes I would, so save me a place. PS Thanks Katy Turner & mum2ten - some wouldn`t say anything.

In short: Fun in the Mud
In full: Dissapointing that there was no water at the second station, no catering and they were packing up pretty sharp at the end (and i wasnt the slowest)but despite these I loved the whole damn thing. Never thoughtI would stop in a run with 3 other guys to dig someone out of a bog with our bare hands. When i got through the bog the buggers put in the hill which having got up and down, they made us go back up the damn thingagain. Great feeling of achievment to actually survive and never really worried about the loss of feelings in my legs. Brilliant day. Thank you.

In short: Apologies from 1000 Mile
In full: It seems there are less big-footed people running these races than envisaged so some of you didn't get a pair of the promised 1000 MIle socks. If you were one of those, feel free to email us (sales@1000mile.co.uk) with your race number and footsize and we'll do our best to sort it.

In short: Mud, Bogs, Dirty water, Mud, Cold, rain, Mud, Steep climbs, Mud
In full: Good atmosphere, refreshing change from slogging the miles out on the roads. Once you are wet and dirty you dont care and just enjoy the challenge ahead of you. Had to be rescued by other runners/bog monsters from the waist deep mud a couple of times but still loved it. It was over too quick and I could have turned round and run back though it all again, just for giggles!

In short: the ice cold weather as the final nail in the day oh for a hot drink.
In full: A great event as I cruised along for 8 miles or so in some nice friendly company thinking the grizzly is much harder than this. Then the brutal truth set in bog after bog 3 feet deep full of branches and the ocasional shark. The steep climbs turned into a impassible mud slide by the 400 runners. Must do it again just to check out how deep the mud really was. I am still getting it out of all sorts of places. I am sure Anne and Heather are up for it but we will try the Spring when its not so cold. I hope.
