In short: Very well organised. Airport course. Medel and goody bag excellent.
In full: Im slightly biased as i managed a PB, all of 5 seconds. The wind was a bit strong as its an airport circuit. It was really good to have a water station half way (A lifesaver!). A sign post at the main road would have been usefull in driving to the race. Im sure i heard the anouncer say the temp was -5 including wind chill. There were not very many spectators so the atmosphere was a bit subdued. I only managed to get a race number at the last minute as the race deadline was extended.

In short: Nice flat 2 lap course, good for spectators.
In full: My 2nd 10km race. Easy to get in and out of, nice flat course, 2 laps meant it was good for spectators to get a peek. I did find the scenery a little boring but then it is an airfield!

In short: Well organised race on a freezing cold day
In full: +s
- Well organised
- Entirely off road - no angry drivers to contend with
- Chip timing for true accuracy
- Nice medal
- Good photography
- Friendly miz of runners. Evidently some very good people but also a nice number of less high achievers (like me!)
- No hills!

-s
- Cold weather and the wind seem to whip across the airfield
- Two laps of the circuit and not a particularly interesting one
- Not much in the way of an atmosphere and the marshalls didn't do much to compensate by cheering you on either...

In short: Flat flat flat
In full: What a good race. There was plenty of parking, plenty of facilities, plenty of encouragement from marshalls and spectators, plenty of wind!

Only bad point is that people wanting to leave before everyone has finished have to wait for a gap between runners and then go for it! I was one of those trying to get out and I couldn't help but think that it's not good for the runners left to finish.....they should have a clear run.

Will be back next year though!

In short: Good race will be back next year
In full: Great venue, lots of parking excellent organisation and room to move. The course was flat and the venue exposed which meant no shelter from the wind on the day. The last 2k seemed straight into it which slowed the progress. Would be back to compete again.

In short: Unusual to do 10K on airfield but nice circuit
In full: Loads of parking and pleanty of room to run as track is very wide all the way around. says it is flat but is very slightly undulating. Quite windy as it is very open in parts. Well worth turning up although I think the race should justify the £15 entry when others do it for much less. And finally t-shirts not medals please!

In short: A great first 10k - will definitely be back next year. Great organisation, plenty of parking and good idea to have starting slots equating to predicted finishing times. Well done SiS.
