In short: I enjoyed it and I'll do it again next year. I did a PB so its quite quick even with the long hill which you go up twice!!
In full: Car Parking was a bit congested but not as bad as it looked. Facilities almost non-existent. Friendly runners. Started late. Start was a bit far from car park. The weather was wet but cleared up. Overall a bit basic but enjoyable.

In short: Very good race & nicely organised by grassroots.
In full: Slight delay at the start as many people arrived within a few minutes of the race starting. Nice two lap course that is almost as flat as you can get - bit exposed though so you have to expect a little weather. Good mix of abilities.

In short: my first 10k, was encouraged by the leaders
In full: I wouldn't call the profile flat, there were a couple of hills, particularly at the start line.

Whilst being lapped by the leaders they all spoke words of encouragement and as a beginner I wasn't intimidated at all by the regulars.

The parking arrangements could have been better as runner being dropped off had to wait for the stayers to park first.

Although the weather at this time of year is quite challenging (mainly the strong winds) the slight drizzle and quick showers were welcoming.

Was disappointed that the presentations were all over when I finished, missed it by five minutes.

In short: Not an easy race in that weather
In full: First of all I echo the sentiment that this race would be better held in the spring, or perhaps in September when the weather is kinder as despite some deceptive inclines there is definite PB potential here.

Very well organised as I would expect from Grass Roots events but there needs to be some cut off point for accepting on the day entries. I'm not sure I get these people who turn up 15 minutes before the start expecting to still be able to register.

Nice touches were the raffle at the start and the announcement that there was a gentleman of 81 competing in the race - an inspiration to the rest of us.

Thanks as always to the organisers and the marshals for putting on a brave face despite the conditions.

In short: Flat run, which could be fast if not for the windy conditions. Well organised and nice medal and jelly babies at the finish

In short: Enjoyable course, but challenging up-hill finish
In full: The weather made the course much tougher than it should have been i.e. every time it came to an up-hill section it was into the wind. It was well organised, with a good sense of community and the results were out quickly.

In short: nice course, slight inclines, exposed to the strong wind.
In full: The start was delayed due to stragglers either registering late or turning up late. The problem was that they had to walk directly towards the start where we were all waiting so we'd have trampled all over them if they'd let us go. The road was open to traffic so we all had to squeeze on to one side of the road to let cars through. The course was very good and scenic in places but exposed to a strong wind for the most part. There a few small inclines particularly in the last K in to a head wind which deprived me of a sub 45 minute (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) but all in all it was a very good experience. A couple of nice touches were the raffle for a pair of trainers at the start and the fact the organisers had a member of their club bringing up the rear with the last runner. Pleanty of stewards and 2 goes at the drinks station after 5k and 9k. Plenty of jelly babies on offer and a very nice medal to round things off. I'll certainly go back again.

In short: Flat'ish 10K race
In full: Thanks to all the marshalls/organisers for braving the cold weather for this race, at least the rain stayed away during race.
It was windy in some areas of course but also had the wind behind in some areas.
Flat course with 3 slight inclines.
It could be a very fast course if done in April/May time for the good weather.
