In short: A good fun course. In full: This was my second 10k after doing the Knole Park race in Sevenoaks last month.
The course was fun and challenging and I really felt the benefit of increasing my training runs from 1 per week to 4 per week in the weeks between the two events.
The last hill was hard but the relief of making it to the top was great.
There are a couple of things that have disappointed me though.
Firstly the lack of a medal for finishing and the promise of a free race photo from Sussex Sports Photography has not happened.
I'm not sure if I will do this event again next year despite the fact that the course was so much fun.

In short: A genuine cross country race - a roughly measured course, rough trails and super scenery with a sting in the tail! In full: This is a fantastic, relatively low key event in picturesque surrounds that combines forest trails and fields and a challenging hill at the end. The course measured roughly 10.2kms which is the way cross country races should be! Well organised (with the London Marathon also showing on a big screen TV in the marshalling tent) - a great race for experienced runners and beginners alike. For those of us not reaching the dizzying heights of the Marathon, I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning! I'll be back next year... Date of review: April 27, 2010

In short: What a great race. There really is nothing not to like on this course. In full: Don't turn up if you want to get a new PB. However everything else was a joy. Even the nasty hill was conveniently right at the end so you just had to get up it for a rest. The views were beautiful. The course well marked. The marshals friendly. Great race, see you next year. In short: Relaxed atmosphere, well organised, low key, all in all a great event In full: Really enjoyed this race: a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, well organised and efficient. If you like running off road and enjoy a few hills this is the one for you. Have to agree the last hill was hard work - just about got to the top, thanks to the two other runners who encouraged me to keep running those last few metres. Date of review: April 25, 2010
