In short: Great scenery, great organisation - plenty of welcome water stations.
In full: Hi all at Thanet Road Runners, I just want to say a big thank you to all for the fantastic marathon on 2nd September. I really couldn't find any fault with your event, what a wonderful setting and even better volunteers on the day making it all go so well. Thanks also for all the water stations, they really helped. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is my favourite marathon so far, that includes better than London. I'm planning to be back next year with friends.

> Please pass on my thanks to all involved, a great event 10/10.

In short: A really nice marathon, good challenging course well organised with friendly marshals and of course extra special as I had witnessed Traviss and Vanessa reaching fantastic milestones in their marathon running careers - well done to both of you!
In full: Following two days of the amazing Bournemouth Air Festival it was back to marathon running business and I was extremely fortunate to get a last minute entry in the Kent Coastal Marathon from Sharon Foster of the Thanet Roadrunners AC, despite the entries having closed - cheers Sharon. I really wanted to run this one as I had found out only last week that it was going to be Traviss Willcox's 200th marathon and I really wanted to be at the finish to see him cross the line (assuming of course I finished before him - not guaranteed the way I've been running recently) and join in the celebrations - If you would like to read more then check out my full blog here at http://60in60at60.com/2012/09/03/m35-kent-coastal/

In short: A day at the seaside AND a marathon!
In full: An enjoyable day with smooth organisation and fab marshalls. Very pleasant route and lots of friendly seaside spectators to give encouragement!

In short: Any race organised by Thanet Roadrunners is one you can rely on.
In full: 2012 was warm for the first half, but as we went on, the weather cooled, and the last 10 miles or so were ideal. This course was a slightly amended version of those we have done in previous years, but as it took out the horrible loop round the houses in Minnis Bay, and gave those in the start/finish area an extra opportunity to cheer on their loved ones, I would say it was a big improvement.

In short: Challenging half but worth it
In full: I did the half marathon route and although it was a challenging I managed a PB of just over 1.25, which got me a top ten place. As others have said the water bottles were a nice touch and its a nice route. Biggest challenge was a few hills that knocked off 10-20 seconds off my target pace of 6.29. Being a coastal route the headwind was also tough. Overall a fantastic event.

In short: A decent run
In full: First time at the full marathon after doing half a couple of years ago, both experiences have been great. Marshals are excellent, with a special thanks to the marshal at Westgate who gave me the muscle gel, thank you!
Plenty of gels and water, struggle to find a more organised race for the money, bargain.

In short: My first marathon
In full: Ample free parking . You can leave your bag . Plenty of water , gel, sweets ! First part is lovely . 2nd part bit harder but this was my first . maybe considering the race the other way ( flat first and then the hilly bit Z) but this is personal view . One suggestion would be to announce in advance where drinks station where . But overall good value for money, marshalling team amazing , nice medal and tee shirt . Would be back !!
