In short: Great laugh, tough event. In full: Loads of hills, mud, hills, water , mud, sand, hills, mud, water, mud hills (think I forgot to mention that it's a hilly course).
First time down South, I've been Up North for 5 Hellrunners and In The Middle for 1. Matches up to the rest.
Really enjoy the whole series and look forward to picking which to do next year! Date of review: November 14, 2012

In short: Ouch, I ache! In full: I knew it was going to be hard when I guy behind me said - oh they've changed the route this year - you'll like it if you like hills! Well, hills there were - hills and hills and hills. And where there weren't hills there was mud and water, and sometimes mud and hills together! Brilliant though - you've just got to laugh or you'd cry. Everyone's in the same boat (actually, a boat would've been nice!) so there are a lot of laughs, helping hands, and shoves on the bum to help you along. Will be there next year, but will spend the next 11 months strength training as I am wrecked today! Date of review: November 12, 2012

In short: Fantastic - great fun ! Laughed all the way round. In full: This the first time my friend and I have taken on Hellrunner, having spoken to many who had completed it before. Had a brilliant time, loads of mud, hills and wading chest deep in icy, muddy water. We laughed all the way, enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the other runners and marshalls. The kit was thrown away at the end - no amount of washing will get that clean! Can't wait to do it all again next year. Date of review: November 12, 2012
